Denver Public Schools Computer Donation Minimums
Computer equipment must meet the following standards:
Windows Platform:
Processor: Pentium IV or higher
RAM: 512 MB or higher
Hard Drive: 40 GB or higher
Network hardware: 3COM NIC card compatible or built-in 3COM NIC circuitry*
Other than the operating system, the district accepts only licensed software. Software other than the operating system can be accepted only when accompanied by the original installation disk(s) or CD.
* Note: For a PC to be connected to a school's LAN (local area network), it MUST be manufactured by a major manufacturer of business PCs. This list includes Dell, Hewlett Packard, Lenovo, and Toshiba. For purposes of standardization and component quality, ONLY PCs from major manufacturers of business PCs can be set up as network clients.
