Use of 3rd Party POP3 E-Mail Clients or Web based E-Mail

The only email application supported by DoTS is Microsoft’s Outlook connected to the District’s Enterprise Exchange server. Outlook is available as a full software client installed on desktop computers or via the web through the Outlook Web Access portal at http://webmail.dpsk12.org.

All other external email servers and 3rd party email clients are not supported by DoTS. External email may introduce vulnerabilities to the DPS network through viruses and downloaded attachments. Users are discouraged from downloading email attachments especially from untrusted sources.
