Colorado Introduction

Uh-oh! You just found out you're getting a new principal who has lived in another state for her whole life. It is your responsibility as a fourth grade student to share with your new principal the history of the state of Colorado.

You and a team of classmates will create a PowerPoint presentation that provides important information about each time period in the history of Colorado:

• Ancient People of Colorado: The Anasazi and Puebloans
• Native Americans and Hispanic Explorers
• Trappers and Fur Traders
• Pioneers and Gold Rush
• Territory/Early Statehood

This unit satisfies these Colorado Content Standards.
